TerrainView-Remote Control

TerrainView-Remote Control™ is the core technology for observation, reconnaissance and surveillance on the basis of virtually modelled 3D terrains and landscapes in natural and urban environments. The application is perfectly suited for 3D terrain monitoring and the tracking of dynamic features on the ground, in the air and on the sea.

TerrainView-Remote Control™ offers a way to remotely manipulate points of interest (POIs) and 3D objects inside a scene over a TCP/IP connection. POIs can represent text, billboard images or hyperlinks. The communication is based on XMLRPC, a remote procedure call interface using HTTP as the transport and XML as the encoding protocol. XMLRPC is platform independent, therefore the software controlling the TerrainView™ scene can run on any operating system.

The interface features the following procedures:

To configure the interface
● Configuration

To create an entity
● EntityCreate
● ShapeFrustum

To retrieve information about the TerrainView™ scene

● Query

To perform an action without identifying a specific entity

● EntityDeleteAll
● CameraSetAbsolute
● Crosshair
● FlightPathAction

To perform an action for a specific entity

● EntityTransform
● EntityAttributes
● EntityDelete
● EntityAction
● ShapeFrustumVideoControl (Live video projection)
